Netball at Simba

On Saturday the 8th of February we went Simba for a netball tournament. It was held to help new referees train and it also was a warm up for ISAZ. Eish, it was rough! Our first game was against Simba. We beat them 9-3. Next we played against Mpelembe and we beat them 8-7. After that we played against Nsansa. We thrashed them a whooping 20-3! We then moved on to the semi final and played Lechwe. We managed to beat them 10-2 and got ourselves into the finals. In the finals we met Mpelembe again but lost 9-5.  The new team members Natasha, Kathleen and Tsisi did a great job in their first under pressure game. The old team members did very well too!

Football 7’s Lechwe

When we played Lechwe there were three games which we played.
Our first game was against Lechwe’s B-team. This game we had more chances on goal then them but none of ours went in. At half time we were down 1-0. In the second half we didn't improve much and the game finished 1-0 to Lechwe’s B-team.
Our Second game was against Lechwe’s A-team. In this game we changed some things around and brought in different people. We didn't have most of the possession but at half time the scores were level at 0-0. Then in the second half we lost focus but never gave up, at the end Lechwe’s A-team were victorious with score line at 2-0.
Our third game was against Kalulushi. We decided to focus more on our defence. This tactic worked end it gave us more possession, but at half time it was 1-0 to them because of one little mistake. In the end we still lost 1-0 but we never gave up.
Exhausted But Still In Pursuit.

Swimming Gala

On Saturday a small U13 team went to a swimming gala at Simba Ndola.
We had a good day with a few firsts coming from Bronwyn, Stacy, Natalie and Giselle.
Unfortunately we had a very depleted team; we competed in 33 of the 58 events and over all we came third out of five schools.
We had a few people who made their debut gala and these people were Giselle, Laura, Bailey and Lena.
Bronwyn’s broke the record for U9 freestyle.

Truck stop

Grades 2 and 3 are learning about transport this term. They had fun looking at a couple of trucks from Mission Support (Z) and thoroughly enjoyed having a trip round school in the driver’s cab! The rest of the students found it hard to concentrate on their lessons when the horn blasted out and surprised some of the younger ones too! HM
