U19 Boys Hockey

On Saturday [11th July] we went to Chengelo to play hockey. We played three schools, Trident Simba and the home team Chengelo. Our first game was against Trident and we drew that game 0:0, it was a warm up game for us. The second game we played Simba and we won the game 3:0 thanks to a hat trick by Seth Pondrun, some lovely play by the guys and some good saves by our keeper. Our last game was against Chengelo, it was a hard game and we conceded a gift of a goal to them, but then we fought back and we scored and drew the game 1:1. I want to thank the guys for their hard work and good sportsmanship.

Big thanks to Mr Grove for driving us so that we can enjoy the day in Chengelo. It was are lovely day and a good experience for all of us.
Thank you so much…

Primary 10-Step

On the 27th June 2015, the annual 10 Step event went underway at Amano Christian School.

Children from Grades 4, 5, 6 and 7 were chosen to represent their school in an A and B team. Each team would take part in an athletic event which would test a variety of skills. The event’s chosen involved: running, jumping, skipping, and throwing as well as many other physical challenges. The Schools that participated included; Amano Christian School, Ndola Trust, Trident, Nsansa, Simba and Kabitaka.

The day began with each team being assigned a particular event to partake in. After a 15 minute time period, the team assigned to each event would then move on to their next event and so forth until every event had been completed by each A and B team. This comprised of 10 events overall.
Mid-way through the day, lovely refreshments were sold by the PTA to everyone, including: hot-dogs, burgers, sweets and drinks. Once the break was over, the day went once again back underway with teams completing the rest of their events.

Once every event had been completed, the day was over. The results were then counted and presented to the school teams.

With the most collective points overall were the winners of the day: Ndola Trust.

We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.
