On the 16
th of September 2017, the Amano boys played zonal
volleyball against Lechwe. The first set caught us a bit off-guard and we
weren’t communicating properly. A couple of times we just left the ball to drop
on the ground which gave them a lot of points. We ended up losing that set 7-15.
The second set we were a bit more prepared and organised. We kept up the tension
of the game and pushed the scores to 12-13, when they finally took the ball from
us and won that set 12-15. Overall the guys started to understand the basic
footwork and movements of setting, blocking and even spiking. We came last out
of the two competing schools, however it did make us a bit more conscious of
what our next game should look like.

I just want to thank Mr and Mrs Grove for
their support and training, also Mr Jarrett, Mr Kirk, Mr Kapalaula and
ultimately God for helping us to have fun and learn from this experience.
