Our first game was against Mpelembe and did not get off to a good start and lacked chances on goal, but our defence was holding up. At Half time the scores were level at 0-0. As the second half started we lost our communication and because of this they scored two goals, so we lost 2-0.
Our second game was against Lechwe but our start was very poor and we lost all focus in the first ten minutes and Lechwe got two very easy goals in the first half. As the second half got underway we started to communicate better and controlled the pace of the game, but it was not enough as we still lacked chances up front, so we lost 2-0.
Our third and final game on Friday was against Ndola Trust when we had a lot more chances up front and our defence was good. We controlled most of the first half but because of an unlucky part on the pitch the ball hit and bounced in a strange way our goalkeeper missed the ball and one of Ndola Trust's strikers scored a header. As the second half got under way we had most of the possession but still were lacking with goals. Towards the end of the second half again we made one goofy mistake and Ndola Trust took advantage of it with a goal, so we lost 2-0 again.
As we lost all of our games on Friday it meant that on Saturday we had to play against the best team on other side of the Copperbelt which was Simba and to win if we wanted to go to the finals at Chengelo.
Before the game, Mr Grove gave us a pep talk and this really helped us to focus and to remember why we even go to sport events.
At the start of the game Simba had most of the possession and had many chances on our goal. Our defence and goal keeper were excellent during the first half Simba had many chances but did not score. As the second half began, right away we could tell that we would have more chances than Simba and we did, our defence never let up either and towards the end of the game our hard work was rewarded with a goal which meant we were finally leading 1-0, but Simba were not going down without a fight. Just as the clock was winding down for full time Simba got a corner kick and took advantage of it by heading in a goal. At full time the scores were level at 1-1 so we went on to penalties, we did our best but we lost 2-5.
Amano played an excellent game and next year I am sure Amano will qualify for the finals.
