U19 Girls Basketball

On Saturday the 23rd of September, the Under19 girls went to Lechwe to play Basketball. After loosing badly the previous weekend, we were ready to work hard.

Our first game was against Lechwe. We communicated and defended well. By halftime the score was 6 to 4 with Lechwe in the lead. In the second half, we had many chances to score but never managed to put any into the basket. In the last minutes of the game, we slacked on our defence and so Lechwe scored 2 more baskets and a foul shot, winning that game 11 to 6.

Our second game was against Mpelembe. They were a rough team! Despite their rough play, we played well. We communicated very well, had great movement and good defence. At halftime, the scores were 4 to 4. In the second half, we played well and managed to score 3 baskets and won that game 10 to 4.

Tenjiwe - new on the team

I would like to thank the team for playing well, Mr Jarett for coaching us, Mr Kapalaula for refereeing our games well, Mrs Grove and the Kirks for supporting us and most of all God for a great day.
